BACKGROUND INFORMATION: I've taught in the Pickerington Local School district since way back in 1994, starting at Pickerington High School and moving to Pickerington North in 2003. Over the years I've taught subjects such as Integrated Science, Physical Science, Genetics, Chemistry and Biology. In recent years, I've taught mostly physics - which I absolutely love. I've found physics is a wonderful place for students to realize what great thinkers they are and to show them all the options open to those who are willing to be creative and thoughtful. This year I'm teaching Integrated Science (which I'm excited for since freshmen have so much energy!) and AP Physics C and Ap Physics 2.
In addition to teaching at Pickerington, for over twenty years I worked part-time in a microbiology research lab. I truly value that experience as one that allows me to have first-hand knowledge of how science works in business and industry. In addition, over the years I've taught courses through OU-Lancaster and Ohio State and COTC. None of those experiences compare to the teaching at Pickerington. Every year has been a great experience, and I fully anticipate that continuing into the future!
